We shut at 12noon on Christmas Eve, and close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Dogs are not permitted inside the farmshop, gift hall or tearoom. Guide dogs are welcome.
We have outdoor seating available for the tearoom. This is accessible by walking with your dog around the outside of the main building (follow the dog walking sign near the entrance porch). During the colder months we have a covered heated area to eat at our tearoom. This is also accessible by walking around the outside of the main building. You can access the tearoom easily from this area, and we can bring your food and drinks out to your table.
We ask all visitors to keep their dogs on a lead at all times, and clean up during their visit.
We have a large car park for our customers. Parking is free of charge.
Motorhomes and caravans are welcome to visit.
No overnight parking is permitted. Our gates to the car park/site close once the farmshop and tearoom has closed at 5:00pm.

No picnicking is allowed on the grounds of Mainsgill Farm. We have food and drinks available in our food hall to take away which can be enjoyed on our grounds. We have outdoor seating available at our tearoom.
Yes we welcome coaches. Please call us on 01325 718860 to let us know your estimated time of arrival.
Our tearoom does not operate a booking system. Tables are allocated upon placing an order. Busy times are around lunch time, where we have a queuing system in place. This queue is fast moving, and as we allocate a table once at the end of the queue and your order is placed this ensures there is always a table for your party.

Hot food is available until 4:00pm.
Between 4:00pm and 5:00pm, we can offer sandwiches, cakes and other cold light bites.

No, no booking is required. Simply present your voucher for afternoon tea when placing your order. We will allocate a table upon placement of your order.
No we do not charge to see our animals. We have many animals around the site for our customers to see.
No. Feeding of the animals is permitted. We politely ask all customers to adhere to this rule and to refrain from reaching across the fences/accessing no entry areas for safety.
